DescriptionOur client, a well-funded, unique non-profit with a commercial technology component to their business model is currently recruiting for a CFO. The ideal CFO candidate will have developed a finance & accounting structure from the bottom up, managed a multiple entity organization and preferably bring both 501c3 and 501c4 experience to the plate. This role will partner with the executive team to build the organization infrastructure as well as provide strategic vision. Any exposure to the SaaS industry and VC startups would be a big plus. They offer a competitive salary and strong benefits structure.Key duties for this exciting CFO will include:1) Being the financial leader of the organization including overseeing financial strategy and providing business guidance to the organization and related entities.2) Responsibility for the building of a team, design and operation of the financial infrastructure of the organization including systems, accounting processes and analytic tools.3) Overall responsibility for all finance and accounting practices for a complex multi-entity operation ranging from daily transactions to month end close4) Financial reporting including the monthly financial statements reported to executive leadership – C-Suite, the Board and key outside stakeholders5) Ensuring that necessary systems to covering accounting operations (payroll, accounts payable/expenses and billing/ accounts receivable) are sound and in accordance with GAAP and other necessary compliance.6) Management of subscription revenue and related billing including oversight and design of processes to manage those areas for partner organizations7) Development of pricing strategy in conjunction with program teams8) Oversight of financial audits, tax compliance and other regulatory filings9) Budgeting and forecasting, as well as cash flow projections and resolution of funding objectives for the organizationPlease forward your resume in confidence to Raj Khanna at rajan.khanna@roberthalf.com for immediate consideration for this challenging role and other immediate opportunities in thegreater Washington, DC area.RequirementsExperience: BS in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA preferred – MBA or related graduate degree is also preferred 10 plus years of experience in a financial leadership role including within a non-profit setting – preferably a 501c3 and or 501c4 organization including grant management and oversight of compliance including Form 990 Experience within a SaaS firm or technology company is a plus Proven skills with forecasting and managing cash flow, financial reporting and technical accounting is required Experience within a multiple entity environment is highly desirable Prior public accounting experience is a plusRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
