Sr. Accountant

DescriptionRobert Half has partnered with a large Retail/ CPG company on their search for a Tax Accountant. As the Sr. Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will be to own the Tax departments Sales and Use Tax for 40+ states , Canada, and Europe.Biggest keys for this role include: 3+ years with retail/ CPG Industry experience and multi-state sales tax experience ( they are in 50 states plus Canada & Europe) A solutions provider, needing little to no training in research and analysis Avalara Tax / Tax Jar is a plusTo be confidentially considered for the role, Please email your resume to Lawren.Bocock@roberthalf.comRequirements

Be detailed, flexible, and organized

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Experience with ERP systems

3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

Must have excellent time management skills

Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Property Tax experience required

Solid understanding of sales and use tax
