Summary: Provides a wide range of outpatient behavioral health services to clients; this might include any or all of the following: conducting general biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments, intake assessments for psychiatric or dual diagnosis patients; providing short-term therapy based on the needs of the clients, including clients with substance use disorders/histories and comorbid medical issues; completing Warm Hand-offs from Primary Care team, conducting outpatient groups. Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of presenting problems; assists clients and their families in the resolution of personal environmental problems attributable to mental or physical disorders which prevent them from achieving their highest level of functioning. Applicants should have training and expertise delivering empirically supported interventions in medical settings, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Works closely with other OPBH professionals to coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans. Performs insurance reviews and obtains authorizations as required. Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work required.Licensure: LICSW Required – Must be independently licensed in the State of RI.Experience: Experience in providing integrated behavioral health treatment in primary care settings preferred. Community based knowledge and experience with large systems and resources. Clinical/case management experience with high-risk children, adults and families required. Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge/competence with national standards (i.e. Dept. of Health, JCAHO, State Health Regulations, etc.)

Excellent skills in communication, collaboration and negotiation.

Management skills in planning, organizing, and directing activities of others.

Knowledge of Health Center grant programs, RIte Care and other state funded programs.

Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Skills in organization and priority setting.

Proficient in using a PC, word processing and spread sheets.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful physician succession plan.

Ability to design, develop and implement health promotional programs and fairs to targeted markets.

Demonstrated marketing and advertising skills.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Lifting up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as files, books, etc. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking required. Involves stooping, reaching and filing.
