Students have the opportunity to learn in a modern production facility where they will be introduced to valuable knowledge in the industrial fields and forging industry. This program is intended for students interested in pursuing a career in the manufacturing field and gain technical skills.Responsibilities:

Visually inspect materials for flaws and defects.

Read machining technical drawings and work orders.

Acquire the skills to perform start-up, safety checks, part layout, monitor CNC/Lathe equipment for correct operation and shut-down processes on machines.

Identify machine set up, tools and materials needed.

Interpret machining symbols and procedures.

Gain experience in documenting equipment use and/or operational problems and communicating it to the proper personnel.

Learn when dimensional inspections are required, the process and dimensional measuring of parts.

Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled in college for CNC program or related degree; Must be willing to provide transcripts and faculty/personal recommendations upon request.

Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and apply manufacturing and industry knowledge and think critically.

Must have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all personnel.

Basic computer skills, ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment lift evaluation of 65 lbs.

Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests, including hair drug test (90 days).
