Random test for NicotineExperience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting Recruiter Notes: daily activity would involve; checking the shortage report, look for unforeseen scrap from and around the production lines, confirm there is ‘line coverage’ for the day (employees scheduled), confirm weekly schedules, review parts in questions…checking for variances. How do you check for variances? Review BOM (bill of material), perform cycle counts, review daily production reports. / Company uses a MRP called QAD. It is very intuitive, and they will train on it. / Interview process: 3 steps: 2 of which will be Microsoft TEAMS. there is only one Supply Chain Coordinator at this facility. / Relatively small plant, working off a GM program. 1 shift running. / Plant performs 100% assembly of front and rear bumper systems. They do not manufacture anything here. Job Duties:- Ensure the MRP system is integrated properly into the Company materials process and obtain a high confidence level of data accuracy.
- Root cause inventory discrepancies and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage supply of Tier II components during program launches
- Manage engineering change effective dates and notify assembly department and sequencers of the changes.
- Manage transportation logistics for incoming items to minimize costs and ensure on-time delivery.
- Effectively manage the receipt of in-coming purchased items for prompt inventory recognition and control in predetermined multi-location storage.
- Work with the manufacturing departments to provide standardized JIT (Just in Time) component delivery process to all areas.
- Initiate continuous improvement (CI) opportunities to minimize inventory and supply chain costs through lean initiatives.
- Manage component obsolescence from ordering to tracking claims.
- Track inventory containment and return to supplier all non-conforming products. Ensure that all returned product value is credited back to Company or replaced.
- Support supplier lean initiatives.
- Initiate EDI releases from our customers down to accurate scheduling of Tier II suppliers
- Review BOM to ensure MRP reflects actual process
Required Work Experience: - Minimum of 2 years materials management experience in an automotive environment.
- Experience in MRP systems required, with QAD Mfg Pro as a bonus skill.
