Job Description: Must be able to report onsite full timeMonitors network and information system activity. Performs event correlation, analysis of malicious activity indicators, based on review and access to various security tools and services.• Responds to alerts (analyze, interpret, investigate, assist in resolving) based on monitoring activity, for security (malware, malicious actor), and other purposes (malicious activity, misuse, etc.).• Manages, updates, modifies alerts, adjusts/fine tunes event correlation rules, etc. (e.g., filter false positives, increase accuracy/relevance/effectiveness), creates new rules based on threat changes/evolving risk, etc.• Understands principles such as SANS/CIS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, and OWASP Top 10 Critical Web Application Security Risks, and applies them using security tools.• Understands customer support and provides routine security and general support (tickets, ad-hoc requests, etc.) to all ODT divisions/users, IT groups/resources, external (other state agencies), etc.• Performs specialized security functions (e.g., forensics for incident response)• Functions as member of cybersecurity team; may function as project team memberVacancy expired!
