Foreman and skilled laborer Busy Landscape/Construction

Job Description

-Every week a new project, from concrete to irrigation to laying sod and building sheds.

-daily tasks and deadlines

-Daily reporting project status to supervisor

Experience

Experience requirements for a Foreman position include proven experience as a lead for other construction sites, in-depth knowledge of equipment and tools and how to use them effectively, Ability to read plans and drive heavy equipment a plus

-Concrete, finishing, general construction and landscaping will all benefit the company

-Leadership skills are needed to be charge of delegating tasks to workers for foreman position

-Customer-service skills to communicate with clients, inspectors and administration to develop a positive working relationship.

-Decision-making skills for selecting personnel for specific tasks and jobs to meet deadlines and budgets.

-Initiative for generating business opportunities and being proactive in locating new clients. Many field man market the companies that employ them while on jobs.

-Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level employees.

-Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and construction workers and discussing technical details with other building specialists.

-Technical skills for interpreting construction methods from technical drawings.

-Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can start.

-Ability to drive heavy machinery, including skid steer, excavator, work truck and hauling trailers

-Ability to work independently and with a team
