If so, we invite you to apply for our challenging Product Engineering opportunity in our Engineered Products Business Unit. This position is responsible for providing custom engineered solutions to customers unique applications. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of activities, from concept development, designing, testing, and implementing custom valve solutions into production around the world. The Product Engineers core responsibility is to maintain and update existing engineered valve and actuator platforms. The position will focus on designing Fisher Engineered Product valves for special customer orders and collaborating with nearly all functional areas within the customer order process, from special quotations to order engineering to manufacturing and end user support.

AS A PRODUCT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Execute customer orders involving product design modifications, application reviews, and customer interaction
  • Provide technical support for assigned products to manufacturing, sales, service, and customers
  • Maintain and update assigned products through Engineering Change Requestsand design projects.
  • Perform and document design calculations and analysis
  • Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings
  • Create additional design documentation such as part numbers, test specifications, instruction manuals, design practices and procedures, etc.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to drive continuous improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineering(specificallyoneofthefollowingdisciplines:Mechanical,Materials,Industrial,Chemical,or Aerospace)
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Oneor more years engineering experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, product evaluation/testing, or other relevant experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Mechanical aptitude and visualization skills.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, tolerances and GD&T
  • Good organization, planning, and time management
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Working knowledge of computer tools in particular those related to the design and technical drawing (three-dimensional CAD, Creo and/or Solidworks, FEM finite element calculation) and of Office Pack (particularly Excel, VBA experience is a plus).
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Basic knowledge of material properties
  • Programming experience.
