  • Respond to all types of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug a substantial variety of Security systems for complex problems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and optimize Physical Security Devices, including Hardware and Software issues.
  • Identify and resolve problems for all service calls including emergency calls; analyze repair requirements and provide customers with appropriate solutions; complete necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. It may require originality and ingenuity in some situations.
MUST HAVES:
  • 2+ years of Field Security Supporting fire alarms/security systems
  • Installing field devices/programming systems/troubleshooting security equipment in the schools
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time
  • Experience managing and administrating systems updates and patching in an enterprise environment
  • Client Job Description: JOB PURPOSEThis client is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Security Service Technician to join our fantastic culture. In this role, you will support existing customers by responding to service calls and carrying out initiatives and small business projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Respond to all types of customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug a substantial variety of Security systems for complex problems.

    • May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation. May install, configure and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
    • Provide technical support to end users and field labor when applicable. Transfer knowledge and expertise to other Specialists.
    • Keep up to date and informed on all company products, services and policies.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
    • Maintain high platform performance levels, maximum uptime and the overall integrity of production systems
    • Streamline and continually improve operations through monitoring, support and diagnostic tools and scripts

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Ability to travel by air and car up to 60%.
    • B.S in IT or Computer Science or work experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium to large-sized jobs required
    • Ability to be in FLL when not traveling to support clients.
    • Experience with companies Avigilon/Verkada brands.
    • Expert in managing and administrating systems updates and patching in an enterprise environment.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Project)
    • Ability and track record of successfully loading servers with 3rd party applications
    • Ability and track record of successfully deploying IP video solutions
    • Strong organization and time management, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills are required.
    • Able to work nights and weekends if required.
