Travel Construction Superintendent (roofing-commercial)

JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a reliable Travel Construction Superintendent to join our team. Superintendents are expected to travel nationwide to oversee and coordinate roofing projects. Strong interpersonal communication skills and responsiveness in-person, via phone, and by text are a must. This role reports directly to our Director of Operations.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and sustain strong relationships with site managers.

Problem-solving and daily on-site coordination and responsiveness between foreman, crew, and site management.

Understanding the scope of work for each project including the job costs.

Maintain a schedule for the completion of projects in a timely manner.

Attend weekly site meetings.

Anticipate and fulfill daily material requests, orders, and purchases for each job. Report changes and returns to the sales team in a timely manner.

Unload material deliveries.

Schedule waste management and pick-up.

Maintain a record of purchases and submit daily project reports including photographs and updates on job progress.

Coordinating with the Operations Manager on issues as they arise.

Scheduling and maintaining a presence for interim and final inspections.

Responsible for being thoroughly knowledgeable about vendor products, pricing, and availability.

Travel for extended periods of time.

Knowledge of roofing, sheet metal, and siding is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Roofing in the construction industry with good connections.

2. Strong written and verbal skills.

3. Outgoing personality, driven, and "team player" attitude is expected.

4. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus, but not required.

5. Willingness to travel.

6. High school diploma or GED.

7. Must have a valid driver’s license.

8. Prior leadership or construction management/project management experience is helpful.

9. Ability to read construction drawings.

10. OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

11. Demonstrate strong customer service skills as well as showing initiative, being goal-oriented, and being self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
