774155BRJob Title:Project Team SupervisorJob Category:MerchandisingStore Number or Department:Best Buy District 62 OfficeJob Description:What does a Project Team Supervisor do?The role of the Project Team Supervisor is to lead the overall Project Team merchandising process within their assigned stores. The Project Team Supervisor provides work direction for merchandising implementation projects focused on planogram execution, vendor supported activities, category continuity programs and large scale transformations, including remodels, refreshes, relocation’s and decommissions. The PTS is directly responsible for managing the scope of work and the individuals on the Project Team. This role connects with many levels of internal and external customers, requiring superior skills in team-building, partnership and communication.Job responsibilities include:

On-site and remote project supervision, coordination and reporting.

Complete all planned project initiatives to acceptable standards within given timelines, including follow-up of known issues.

Supervise and develop 15-25 Project Team employee direct reports; responsibilities include assisting in recruiting and hiring with direct involvement in coaching, performance appraisals and accurate payroll reporting.

Indirect supervision of 5-10 Retail, 3rd party and contractor employees.

Communication with Field Deployment Manager and Retail store teams during implementation, focusing on problem resolution.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting is provided to all internal and external partners.

Solicit feedback from their Retail stores to further refine and improve the merchandising project process to meet customer needs and project goals

What are the Professional Requirements of a Project Team Supervisor?Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 Years of Retail store experience with a supervisory or Projects implementation background OR Military Leadership inclusive of coaching, training, recognition and performance evaluation

2 Years of Merchandising, Media or Functionality support experience.
