Job Summary:We Are…The mission of The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer & International (DTCI) segment is to provide consumers around the world with the entertainment and sports content they want most, with more choice, personalization, and convenience than ever before.The segment includes the Company’s direct-to-consumer streaming businesses including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar, as well as Disney’s international media operations stretching from Europe to Asia to Latin America. DTCI is also home to a global technology and product team, which creates and advances digital products that connect people to Disney’s content and supports the company’s businesses around the worldWe are the Diversity and Inclusion team at DTCI. As an intern on the team you will gain a wide-range of skills and contribute to meaningful work through supporting programs and initiatives to advance Diversity & Inclusion in the company.Responsibilities:Make an impact by:
Supporting the daily operational needs of the Business & Employee Resource Groups and providing support with event coordination
Researching D&I trends and best practices, and making recommendations accordingly
Helping to develop and implement D&I resources, including tools and training materials
Assisting with drafting and organizing content for internal D&I communications
Supporting other D&I projects and initiatives as needed
Basic Qualifications:What You Bring to the Role:
Demonstrated interest in Diversity & Inclusion or a related area of work
Ability to manage multiple projects and the ability to switch between tasks
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Required Education
Current Junior, Senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Human Resources, or business management/marketing
Additional Information:Internship Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR graduated within the past 18 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The approximate dates are September 28 – December 18, 2020. Interns will work 40 hours per week throughout the internship. There may be some flexibility based on candidate’s academic schedule.Work Environment: This is a remote internship.
