Product Marketing Manager - Consumer
TrueCar is seeking a consumer-focused Product Marketing Manager to drive usage of the TrueCar.com consumer experience. The Product Marketing Manager will lead the consumer go-to-market execution, messaging, positioning and implementation of consumer content, working closely with the Product and Marketing teams to increase consumer satisfaction and net promoter score goals.
This key role will work closely with our research, marketing and product teams to understand product optimization opportunities, target persona needs, competitive landscape and emerging trends.
This position will also guide and support the consumer and product marketing content development to ensure marketing campaigns and customer education programs align with go-to-market strategy, product capabilities and sales goals.
The ideal candidate will have a relentless focus on customer-centric messaging rooted in solving consumer problems and should be skilled at distilling a complex map of features and capabilities into a clear and engaging storyline.
Experience in automotive is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Leverage consumer insights, market intelligence and market research to strategically position and differentiate TrueCar’s consumer experience.
Develop compelling positioning & messaging that differentiates TrueCar in the marketplace and resonates with consumers.
Help drive go-to-market strategy, including planning the launch of new product features, facilitating marketing research, and managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Collaborate with the internal creative team to develop consumer-centric product marketing assets in support of new product launches.
Partner cross functionally to drive innovative marketing programs that are demonstrably impactful to the business and drive usage and satisfaction.
Contribute to Voice of Customer efforts be the expert on our consumers, uncovering insights that lead to breakthrough messaging and differentiated marketing tactics
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
5+ years of years of product management or product marketing or related experience
Experience positioning and promoting new service offerings
Ability to transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
Ability to influence decisions and lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Adeptness at leveraging data to inform recommendations
Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
Demonstrated ability to be roll up sleeves, work independently and get the job done
Demonstrates initiative and independence, is consistent and dependable
Excellent editing and prooing skills; ability to think critically about content in context of brand messaging, goals, and voice
Ability to manage multiple personalities and communication styles, empathize with team members, and successfully navigate interpersonal communication to create and maintain a positive team environment
