Description: This position is contingent upon award of contract. We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer in the United Arab Emirates supporting a next generation command and control system.We are building the systems of tomorrow today! Will you join us in the journey?Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level. Experience with COTS IT Hardware (servers, network, and storage) Proficiency with PC based MS Office products such as Visio and Excel Possess good oral and written communication skills; and be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervisionDesired Skills: Strong communication skills, including communicating with customers whose first language is Arabic. The ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Experience with documentation of engineering artifacts in support of site configurations and installations. Experience working ILS HW support tasks including tasks associated with replacement of failed hardware to include provision of spares, preparation of Internal Discrepancy Reports (IDR's), declassification of failed hardware, de-configuration in preparation of RMA authorization with the vendor, updates to asset management databases and disposition of failed hardware as scrap if appropriate. Electrical engineering experience like power analysis, power and signal cabling, etc Hardware rack and stack experience with troubleshooting skills.
