Trailer Mechanic (Stewartville)

Thermo King Sales & Service is currently seeking a Trailer Mechanic to join our Rochester team! Thermo King Sales & Service is a fourth generation family-owned dealership offering sales, service, parts and rentals. With seven locations across Minnesota and Iowa, we have the support and training available for the right individual. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with diagnostic computers for trouble shooting and repairs.

The Trailer Mechanic is an essential part of our team and will diagnosis mechanical failures and repair trailer components. Responsibilities of this position include:

- Perform a wide variety of repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of semi-trailers

- Interpret work orders and technical manuals

- Test repaired equipment for proper performance

- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

- Manage all on-site repairs

- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions

- Produce timely and detailed service reports

- Operate vehicle in a safely manner and uses field automation systems

- Cooperate with service team and shares information across the organization

- Comprehend customer requirements and makes appropriate recommendations while assisting with estimates, when needed

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Skilled in Welding, Brake Repair, & Electrical Repair

- Clean Driving Record

- Technical Degree or Certification preferred

- Diesel Mechanic Experience preferred

- Class A CDL preferred
