General Summary

This position is responsible for direct supervision of accounts receivable staff and managing all aspects of accounts receivable processing related to the assigning / directing of workflow, maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures to ensure proper accountability.

Essential Job Accountabilities

1.Manage the accounts receivable functions including invoice processing and posting, material billings, payment application to ensure accurate and timely completion, address book and compliance with Company policies, General Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

2.Manager accounts receivable staff including hiring, firing, training and development to ensure productivity and employee engagement.

3.Provide impeccable overall customer service to internal and external customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

4.Participate in business unit management meetings and provide input and updates on business processes and procedures.

5.Assist with overhead budgets and forecasts, under the guidance of the business manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting and cost control.

6.Recommend, establish and implement internal controls to maintain compliance with Granite’s policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, internal audits and safety audits to ensure compliance.

7.Suggest improvement in processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

8.Prepare and review various reports and metrics as needed to keep management informed.

9.Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed.

10.Support and participate in Granite’s strategic plan and employee development initiatives to foster a team that is cohesive and productive.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent on the job experience

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of management experience combining administrative, supervisory, accounting and analytical skills with an emphasis on accounts receivable.
