job summary:IT Support SpecialistLocation: Hagerstown-MD - OnsiteWork Hours: 7am to 3pm (EST). (Must have availability to work on weekends or others 2 shifts (3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am), this is based on production demand, which is currently on rare occurrence) Note: Training will be provided from 3pm to 11pm in the first month. Duration may vary according to learning curve. Also, if consultant does not have ITIL Foundation Training, supplier responsible to provide to consultant during initial months of assignment.Interview Info:One interview with Manager will be video. Interviews will start week after Christmas. Position is open due to consultant never started from prior posting. Position will be contract through end of year 2023, possibility of extension or conversion based on performance.

Job Overview:This role is the local representation of the Digital & IT for a specific business production facility in Hagerstown-MD. In this role, it is critical to work together with regional and global colleagues to deliver applications and infrastructure support for business solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting platforms (typically x86), Windows OS, LAN (wired and wireless), Smartphones, Linux, Windows enterprise client solutions for office and factory, personal mobility, and specialized factory devices such as bar code scanners, forklift mounted hardware and specialized Printing technology.

Must have skills:- Broad IT background including software and hardware support such as PC, laptops, smartphones, laser, thermal printers and bar code scanners.- Has ability to work in a fast paced environment which requires high level of sense of urgency.- Has solid communication skills.- Work patiently with end-users who are frustrated and need issues to be resolved quickly or helpful guidance with using the solutions.- Is open to change and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.- Pursues tasks with energy, drives and has a need to finish.- Has fluency in English, both written and spoken.- ITIL Foundation Certified.- Problem Solving / root cause analysis skills.- Linux Ubuntu- Windows 7 and 10.- Cisco Network Troubleshooting.- Problem Solving- Manufacturing and business applications support- Lean Manufacturing Basics

Desirable Competences but NOT Required:- Raspberry Pi- ThingWorx- Six Sigma
