Maintenance Technician and Supervisor (Perris)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is responsible for supervising and supporting various maintenance, safety and compliance functions including but not limited to: troubleshooting running woodworking machinery and equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance with mechanical background. Hands-on equipment mechanical / maintenance experience in a fast paced production atmosphere
A minimum of 1-2 years in a lead or supervisor role; responsible for approximately 1-3 man team
Troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment.
Perform repairs and maintenance as necessary to maintain production at target efficiencies.
Perform and record assigned preventive maintenance tasks: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests
Housekeeping is a priority in order to provide a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Building maintenance.
Electrical experience needed, troubleshooting circuits, motor starters, lighting and control wiring.
Pneumatic understanding or manufacture machinery and general plumbing skills
Hydraulic experience with pumps and piping
Ability to weld with mig and stick machine
Proper use of torch rig, electrical hand tools, grinders, drill motors, die grinders, porta band, and bench grinder
Physical Requirements/Demands:
Lift, carry, push/pull and move totes, equipment, parts, etc. Up to 75 lbs with assistance.
Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
Ability to climb ladders safely and without limitation.
Ability to work in manufacturing environments that may be noisy.
Ability to work in conditions that may include dust, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise
Continual standing and/or walking daily.
Ability to use hand tools, material handling equipment

Basic Qualifications:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize work functions
Bilingual – Spanish (Preferred) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
