Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Administrator for myPotential at Home has primary responsibility and accountability for administrative and leadership functions, supervision of the established organizational plan and responsibility for ongoing communication with the Board of Directors, the COO, the Governance Committee, as well as the entire myPotential at Home team.
Responsible for the quality, planning, marketing, and financial management of myPotential at Home service line. Overall leadership responsibility for operating myPotential at Home, including strategic planning, growth of the service line in Virginia as well as services provided, quality assurance performance improvement, problem resolution, personnel management and retention as well as performance improvement.
Some responsibilities include :
Supports, follows and enforces policies, procedures, guidelines and standards of NLCS Prepares and presents administrative reports to NLCS leadership as required
Organizes and directs the ongoing liaison among the governing body, team, and professional advisory group on current organizational, community and industry trends
Implements policy and procedures approved by leadership and responds to requests and recommendations along with reviewing Agency manuals once per year for completeness
Direct and monitor Quality Improvement activities across the myPotential at Home service line
Plans, organizes and directs and evaluates operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services in an efficient and effective manner
Maintains profitability and solvency of service line through sound financial planning, budgeting and management as well as an accurate billing system
Across service line; ensures appropriate recruitment, employment and retention of myPotential at Home staff
Ensures scheduling of qualified staff to meet the needs across service line and that the numbers and qualifications of staff available to provide services are sufficient to meet the medical, nursing and therapy needs of clients;
including adequate staff education and periodic evaluations
Arranges and negotiates services provided through contractual agreements
Ensures accuracy of public information materials and activities
Ensures that policies and procedures meet Federal, State, and accrediting organizations regulations and
standards.
Develops strategic and short-term plans for organizational development
Educates community to the myPotential at Home programs
Develops measurable goals and metrics for service line, including those which measure quality and
quantity of services
Demonstrates leadership and provides direction to members of the myPotential at Home team and
facilitates active and effective communication with the team
Provides strong supervisory, performance management, leadership, onboarding and ongoing coaching
skills for the team
Partners with Talent & Culture team to assure fair and consistent administration of policies. Documents
all corrective action steps for personnel file
Builds trust and accountability by frequently holding coaching conversations with team members to develop, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to support team members’ goals and strategies
Conducts required stay interviews for all new hires
Handles crisis situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner
Qualifications
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, nursing or health administration or a related field or
comparable
Registered Nurse (RN)
Minimum of ten years of increasing responsible experience in health care administration with a
minimum of two years of experience in direct home health operations / management required
Supervisory experience required
Working and current knowledge of various State and Federal regulations including Medicare conditions
of participation for home health agencies
Able to apply a thorough knowledge of health care delivery models and relevant financial acumen
Must have demonstrated experience in performance management and effective leadership
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; ability to maintain confidential information
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
