Patient Care Tech / Clinical Associate - Oncology

The Clinical Associate maintains a collaborative relationship with the RN and other members of the multidisciplinary health care team.

Under the direction of a RN, works as an associate with advanced training in specific clinical skills / competencies on the health care team.

Observes patients, provides skilled nursing care and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate and cost-effective manner.

Duties and responsibilities are based on what serves the patients and the team at any given time and are determined in collaboration with the team leader.

Work Location : Washington, D.C.

Full time - nights

7pm - 7am with rotating weekends

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

1.High school graduate or GED.

2.Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia

3.Completion of Clinical Associate or Patient Care Technician training course or comparable training / job experience and ability to demonstrate needed skills.

4.Current Basic life support training / certification required; Heartsaver CPR (adult / child)
