We are currently seeking to add an Assistant Survey Manager to our dynamic team in Walla Walla, Washington .

Working with the PBS Team

The Assistant Survey Manager will be a qualified Survey Professional licensed in Washington State who will work under the direction of the Eastern Washington Survey Manager assisting in the oversight and management of the Walla Walla survey department and projects including project scheduling, budgets, proposals and business development evolving into the Survey Manager.

As the region’s infrastructure needs have grown, PBS has expanded our engineering and surveying capabilities to support the transportation, planning and development needs of our public and private clients.

Our uniquely broad menu of engineering, surveying and environmental services provides our team with the opportunity to collaborate on diverse project teams.

To support these projects, you will work with our team of surveyors and engineers performing civil engineering design, topographic, boundary, ALTA, planning and entitlement documents in a team environment working with other project managers, and PBS staff in the other company business lines and offices.

Our goal is to provide the capabilities of national firms, but with the personal connection of a local company. To do this, we promote engagement between our surveyors and clients, and the forging of relationships through consistent delivery of quality work.

Job Responsibilities :

Oversee survey department and projects including project scheduling, budgets and billing.

Perform business development to secure additional survey projects.

Supervise and positively motivate survey technicians and survey parties for quality project delivery.

Plan and coordinate work of field survey parties performing design survey and construction staking activities and staff preparing reports.

Review and certify completed work to satisfy legal requirements.

Oversee and perform land survey and mapping functions including : preparation of Parcel Maps, Tract maps, ALTA Surveys, and Records of Survey;

development of legal descriptions for plats easements and property boundaries.

Minimum Qualifications Include :

Washington registered Professional Land Surveyor

Minimum 3 years' experience overseeing and performing Land Surveys as a registered Professional Land Surveyor.

Office production experience including boundary, topographic and construction surveying

Business development experience

Proficient in AutoCAD and Carlson Survey
