Role Letter of Credit Specialist Location - Farmington Hills, MI(Hybrid Model) Job Description - Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) processing/ releasing as per International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) guidelines to be performed within the agreed timelines & accuracy. Knowledge/Experience: - 2-6 years of SBLC experience - CDCS certification (Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialist) from London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) preferred - Good Knowledge of ISP 98 - Good MS Office knowledge Desirable: Experience with Banks/NBFCs/BPO Key Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for processing, releasing SBLC applications / transactions after reviewing documents and obtain relevant clarification or additional documents as per the standard operating procedures and within SLA 2. Ability to handle high volumes without compromising on accuracy in processing. 3. Provides information & statistics for tracking and reporting key performance indicators including department volumes. 4. Identify and recommend improvements to procedures and processes to improve process and service levels 5. Be proactive in a wide range of customer enquiries and issues, resolving these or escalating as appropriate. 6. Participate in training newer or more junior team member on technical and product knowledge as required 7. Provide Excellent customer service to both internal and external customers 8. Ensure Bank and industry security standards are adhered to 9. Quickly communicates and escalates issues to meet individual and/or departments goals. 10. Ensure all day to day activities are in compliance with OFAC , Anti-Money laundering and other regulatory requirements laid down internally and by Central Bank. 11. Provide support to other team members as required to assist in the smooth operation of the department. 12. Perform any other duties or tasks required or instructed by the officer / manager to support the smooth operation of the department.
