Description Newly created VP Controller opportunity for our Software Development company who are building out their US Operations. Fantastic time to join, company has grown 100% year over year for the past 3 years. The VP Controller will lead, manage and support the company’s Accounting operations and financial reporting. This will include development/implementation of accounting policies, generating monthly financials and analysis, as well as working with the business operations. You will be the lead interface with audit and tax firms and will own the process around Audit Committee meetings.What you will get involved with:

Lead and advise on all Accounting related activities.

Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.

Lead all activities related to our annual audit process, coordinating with outside CPA firm.

Lead high quality and timely monthly/quarter close process, with detailed monthly financial analysis.

Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances, manage the banking relationships and maximize the return on any excess cash balances.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.

Research technical accounting issues for compliance

Requirements

Requirements:

15+ Years’ experience in Corporate Accounting, preferably working in a hyper growth SAAS environment or similar investment banking experience.

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

MUST have current or previous BIG4 experience.

Preference would be 5-6+ years public then 6-8 years elsewhere.

International experience – UK HQ, they are UK GAAP.

Ideally someone who has been involved with a company that has gone from 50-250M or similar. Been through the growth/pain points

NetSuite a must – just implemented, don’t need to be an expert.

CPA

Tech industry experience preferred, open to health tech, cyber security or related – subscription based.

IPO and/or SEC reporting experience is a plus.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.

Strong executive leadership skills with experience in growing and leading a high-performance team of finance professionals.
