Learn more at www.aramark.com or connect with us on Facebook and Twitter.DescriptionAramark is looking for a Food Service Production Storeroom Manager to supports the USAF in it’s FOOD 2.0’s objective to transform dining facilities and flight line feeding operations of their Mission Essential Feeding Facility (MEFF) using an enterprise approach to create venues similar to those found on leading corporate, college, and university campuses.The Food Service Production Storeroom Manager will accurately and efficiently manage MEFF Storeroom operations and inventory management to include forecasting, ordering, receiving, issuing and inventorying subsistence, maintains accurate internal controls and appropriate inventory levels required to meet Food 2.0 production needs to sustain mission essential feeding operations in accordance with DOD, USAF and Aramark standards. Manager is required to use, source and ensure the Subsistence Total Order Receipt System (STORES) and supporting DLA acquisition system is sourcing the required recipe and menu ingredients. Manager will follow STORES and DLA procedures for sourcing, acquisition and buyers guide standards. Manager will provide a monthly report on items they are unable to source via STORES. Individual will conduct joint bi-monthly inventories with USAF personnel, Executive Chef/GM and/or additional civilian employees at full food service locations and will consistently maintain all Cost of Goods (COG) and Food Cost/Waste goals, health, sanitation and safety standards currently outlined in the contractor’s proposal, Statement of Work (SOW) and annual Internal Operating Plan. Individual will report directly to the Contractor GM and/or Executive Chef. Additionally, Individual will be responsible for training military members in all facets of Storeroom management and automated systems.Ideal candidate oversees the following:Works with USAF, Executive Chef and GM to determine adequate levels of inventory necessary for the efficient operation of the department, based on specifications and schedules. Monitors and analyzes daily, weekly and monthly financial and operating reports, and formulates an action plan to correct deviations to business plan and budget.

Seeks and develops purchasing strategies to identify cost savings opportunities

Follows receiving policies and procedures, conducts spot checks of received good, temperature and quality

Works and communicates with F&B department to assure slow moving products are used up and do not result in excessive inventories

Organize and maintain stock rooms and walk-in refrigerators and freezers

Understand and ensures all Health & Safety and HACCP and USAF guidelines are strictly followed.

Maintains compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulation that affect MEFF operations.

Comply with Aramark safety policies and practices to promote safety awareness in the MEFF.

Coaches and develops Airmen

Participates in reviewing menus and utilization of food surpluses and leftovers taking into account probable number of guests, marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes and menu cycle. Maintains inventory at established levels to meet budget objectives

Manages the ordering process for supplies.

Partners with all levels of management to ensure that processes are utilized to complete daily and weekly cycle counts.

Partners with all levels of MEFF management and employees to assist in the inventory process.

Completes all reporting requests as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or GM.

Provides oversight/completion of data entry process/purchasing process.

Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQualifications:

1- 2 years of food service management experience required.

Food Purchasing experience and knowledge of HACCP

Strong organizational, communication and computer skills with a proven ability to organize and analyze information to better understand the business and detect problem areas.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal form; ability to interact with people effectively; proven ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and use sound judgment; proven ability to work well under pressure and be able to adjust work flow to accommodate change in priorities.

Job requires lifting, moving, and stocking

Possible overnight travel, evening or weekend work may be required
