TheFutureIsBuiltHere #ChangeTheWorldBoeing is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Parts, Materials, and Processes Technical Analyst to support BR&T, located in Tukwila, WA .This role joins our Boeing Research and Technology (BR&T) group and has some of the leading experts in electrical components from around the company, ranging from circuit breakers to connectors to wires. Our team is responsible for quality parts and processes for electronic printed wire boards, electro-mechanical devices, and other electrical components ( EEE). We support wiring design teams throughout their lifecycle, from design support and part selection, to fabrication support and aircraft installation. We identify technologies that make safer, more reliable aircraft and resolve issues that may arise from our suppliers and shops.This position focuses on program support for interconnect design and EEE components. Key skills for this area are attention to detail, ability to work with suppliers and variety of programs or job units, and able to track and status multiple projects. Day to day activities include new technology capabilities, support to design and systems engineering teams, part standard creation and review, lab testing, supplier reviews, and shop issue resolution.Position Responsibilities:

Evaluates parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications

Analyzes failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures

Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations

Proposes, develops and validates revisions to procedures and specifications

Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers

Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by designing, developing, fabricating, testing, evaluating and implementing new concepts and technology

Provides knowledge and technical consultation to internal and external customers.

Provide support to design and systems engineering teams with analysis of materials, processes and equipment

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note-the person selected for this role can anticipate working 2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days remote per week.This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in electrical, electronic and electromechanical (EEE) parts and materials

Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in wire harness design, wire harness installation or equipment installation

Experience in Material & Process, developing and maintaining process specifications and standards for electrical components and wire harness fabrication

Experience with electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies

Experience working in a laboratory with electronic parts and / or electronic materials

Classroom or work-related experience with electrical circuit design and electrical schematic analysis

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
