DescriptionSAIC is seeking qualified UI/UX Design Engineers for a REMOTE opportunity supporting the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFMS) program. (This is a 100% remote position with no onsite requirement)AFMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.DescriptionAt SAIC, we are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team in support of the US Air Force. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating memorable and engaging user experiences for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, from developers to engineers, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of usability, functionality, and aesthetics. Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our software products

Conduct user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors

Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for new and existing products

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet technical requirements

Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs

Stay up-to-date with UI/UX trends and techniques, and share insights with the team

Communicate design decisions and rationale effectively to stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years experience, Masters and seven (7) years or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UI/UX design

Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles

Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that align with user needs and business objectives

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Familiarity with software development processes and ability to work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation

Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
