What services does the RESULTS program offer to participants? RESULTS stands for Real Employment Skills You Learn To Succeed. This program helps individuals conduct a career search, negotiate employment, and get the support needed to obtain and retain employment. We work closely with the Colorado Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and other referral sources, to help you find the resources you need to become self-sufficient. Our current program offerings include - Situational Vocational Assessments, Job Coaching, Work Adjustment training, Discovery Services and Job Development.

Position Description: The Employment Specialist's primary focus is to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain paid employment in integrated work settings. Employment Specialists provide on-going training and supports to individuals in work settings and community.

Position Duties:

Follow individual’s Service Plan and DVR (State of Colorado Department of Vocational Rehabilitation) authorizations

Provide basic orientation skills to individuals with a disability, around their work site and required work routes.

Ongoing communication with supervisor, team members and family members

Attendance to team meetings as needed

Provide accurate documentation of contact notes along with DVR progress reports

Advocate for individual while assuring their health, safety, and welfare at all times.

Be able to meet deadlines with completing written reports

Demonstrate the ability to break down job task into small steps the consumer can understand

Observe confidentiality of all PPCH clients and operations

Must be able to show competency in all PPCH meetings and trainings

Ability to understand the DVR billing process

Provide on-site training, instruction, supervision, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities at community job sites. Sixty percent of time spent in the community with individuals.

Driving to different locations throughout the Denver Metro area

Qualifications:

At least one year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

Good organizational skills and communication skills

Must be team oriented

Understanding of the DVR process is a plus

Experience working with DVR or with assisting adults with developmental disabilities in securing employment

Experience using Therap for documentation purposes

Knowledge of Microsoft Office components

Professional attitude and teamwork mentality

Outstanding attendance and ability to self -direct

Valid Colorado Driver’s License

Good driving record that meets the requirements of agencies insurance carrier

Able to pass criminal background checks

Able to document right to work in the U.S.

Minimum Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Requires repetitive lifting and carrying of approximately 15lbs as it pertains to office supplies, etc.

Requires moderate amount of reaching over head and away from body.

Requires staff to sit for periods of time, walk for up to several hours at a time with breaks.

Requires staff to squat and climb as it pertains to regular duties.

Work is primarily indoors in an office setting

Daily significant contact with agency personnel and its employees or contractors as well as outside governing agencies, benefit carriers, and with individuals with Developmental Disabilities, community members and professionals within the community.
