InTech Systems is a locally owned company with 25 years of experience here in Mount Vernon. Our business hours are Monday – Thursday 7am to 5:30pm and everyone gets a 3 day weekend Friday – Sunday! InTech Systems is a low voltage custom integrator and we are excited to bring on a new experienced journeyman 06 electrician to our team! We work in beautiful high end residential homes, along with commercial buildings all around our state.

Job summary

As a lead journeyman you will be responsible for managing projects, performing service calls, completing paperwork, and managing a crew. The time clock starts for the day when you arrive to our office in the morning. Transportation vehicles will be provided to travel to and from the jobsite. Therefore your travel time in our company vehicles is paid, and if any overnight stays are necessary for a project we supply lodging and per diem each night. In addition, after a 90 day probationary period and an employee review, you will be provided with sick and vacation pay, as well as a company cell phone and laptop for company use purposes.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of general construction processes and methods including power tools, equipment

and of various construction materials

Must be proficient and comfortable on ladders or scaffolding to heights as low as 8 feet and potentially up to 26 feet

Ability to walk over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces, to climb stairs or ladders

Ability to work in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, balancing and walking, requires mobility and flexibility to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.

Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 75 pounds and assist others with heavy objects.

Regularly required to use hands and feet to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.

Must be fluent in English to verbally communicate and hear

Ability to juggle multiple tasks, projects and changing priorities; produce top-quality work.

Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Company van will be provided.

Provide personal tools of the trade. Some tools will be provided by the company.

No smoking on job sites, or in company vehicles.

Have the passion and knowledge to get the job done right, and the ability to know when to call for guidance

Be open to changes and challenges with a positive attitude. Have the drive and determination to persevere through completion of a task
