Full Time In-Home Senior Caregiver

Caregiver needed to stay with an elderly man (81-years-old) with dementia.

Caregiver is needed Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm (45 hours/week).

Patient is 81-years-old. He has dementia and needs someone to help with morning routines, supervision, therapist-prescribed exercise, some light housework, and preparing meals. He needs assistance with dressing himself and changing/cleaning in the mornings and before bed. He has a walker that he uses for walking around the house. He needs help transferring (mostly sit to stand with one person to help him stand and keep balance) and cleaning himself. He enjoys reading the newspaper and watching older TV shows, and loves to talk about local history and current events!

We have two large dogs in our home (a Golden Retriever and a Weimaraner) so caregiver must be comfortable with dogs. Ideal candidate will be comfortable cooking meals for him, tidying his bedroom, and light housekeeping (dishes, washing clothes, and cleaning Terry's spaces as needed).

Pay is $18/hour; paid via direct deposit weekly through a payroll service. (Employees must provide documentation that they can legally work in the United States along with a completed W-4 for tax purposes.)

Caregiver must be willing to take initiative, be a non-smoker, be comfortable working in a home with two dogs, and be kind, caring, and patient.

Prior nursing or caregiving experience a plus! Preference will be given to those with previous experience working with the elderly.
