THE POSITIONAre you ready to take your career to the next level? The Talent Management Division within the Department of Corrections (DOC) Human Resource (HR) Office is seeking a Human Resource Analyst 1 with exceptional communications skills to join our team. This position gives you the opportunity to serve as the recruitment coordinator for the DOC HR Office and provide HR support managing various projects and programs. Join us as we work to secure top talent for the commonwealth! DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will serve as the Recruitment Coordinator for all positions serviced by the DOC’s HR Office. This includes coordinating efforts with the Enterprise Recruitment Division, participating in the development of specialized and localized recruitment efforts, reviewing recruitment requests, and collaborating on recruitment plans. Effective communication is an essential function of this position as you will be corresponding with hiring managers, assisting applicants, and providing support to current employees. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Providing strategic support and guidance to the DOC’s Recruitment Captain,

Coordinating and managing on-site SCI events including determining event type, working with the Trainee Hiring Team, completing after action reviews for each event, and recommending and implementing changes to event logistics for improvement

Researching and coordinating multidisciplinary projects, which include those related to talent acquisition, specialized hiring, and focused recruitment efforts, with various staff in order to develop recommendations or solutions

Acting as the Internship Coordinator

Developing and maintaining vacancy status reports

Researching position statuses, identifying any potential issues, and providing frequent updates on high priority jobs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Work schedule is flexible.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. Office location is Technology Parkway/DOC; however, this position will not need to report to Technology Parkway. If selected candidate is someone from the field, they can stay at their current work location or an authorized field site. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree;or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
