As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of patients with respiratory conditions. You will work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.Responsibilities

Administer and monitor invasive and non-invasive respiratory therapies to patients.

Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.

Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment.

Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans.

Document patient information and treatment progress accurately in medical records.

Participate in emergency response teams and code blue situations.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

A recent graduate of an approved Respiratory therapy program with less than six (6) months experience

Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure (CT RCP)

Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

Special Skills:

Demonstrates proficient and technical skills in the performance of respiratory therapies.

Demonstrates a working knowledge of current trends in respiratory therapies; specialty technical standards equipment and supplies; safety principles and practices.

Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Establishes effective working relationships with other departments medical staff and co-workers; treats public courteously tactfully and professionally.

Meets Dignity Health standard physical requirements for staff involved in direct patient care.

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.Pay Range$42.91 - $52.85 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
