acceptance. Norris is currently seeking an individual to fulfill the
role of Achievement Center Advocate for our brand new Achievement Center
which will be located in Milwaukee! Under the supervision of the
Achievement Center Coordinator (ACC), the Achievement Center Advocate
(ACA) is responsible for providing guidance, support, advocacy and
mentorship to youth and young adults enrolled at the Achievement Center.
The Achievement Center is located in the city of Milwaukee and targets
the engagement of youth and young adults between the ages of 16-24 with
the goals of promoting safe, stable and healthy environments and
relationships; ensuring that each youth and young adult has a sustained
positive trajectory in education and/or employment; and assistance in
identifying and cultivating ongoing informal connections that can serve
as positive, durable and pro social supports throughout their lives.
Services that are provided may include but are not limited to: care
coordination, advocacy, mentoring, therapeutic services, external
referrals, vocational/educational/independent living skill development,
and basic needs. The ACA is responsible for engaging with youth and
young adults, their families, and community partners. The ACA
collaborates with the Achievement Center team to ensure participants and
their families receive appropriate services. The ACA is also responsible
for implementing assigned services, per the participant's personalized
plan. The ACA will promote the Norris mission and philosophy for
providing services utilizing a trauma informed care approach. The ACC
position requires that the individual will be able to work a flexible
schedule that is subject to change to meet the agency's evolving needs
at any time, and may also include weekends and/or holidays. The
