leadership, vision, and direction for multiple aspects of construction,
including Project Management, contracts, field operations, equipment,
environmental compliance, and safety. Provides technical oversight for
all company projects. Responsible for helping the company achieve
financial goals and objectives, while increasing operating performance
and developing short and long-term strategic plans and pursuits.
Responsible for promoting a team-oriented approach to responsible
management of the Construction Division. As a member of the Executive
Leadership Team, this person must fully participate in all aspects of
managing the company including business planning, budget preparation and
forecasting, capital investments, corporate policies, and procedures,
and solving internal and external issues as they arise. This position
reports to the SVP COO/CFO, retains relationships with peers and all
other departments within the company, and maintains relationships with
agencies, suppliers, vendors, and others serving the Company. As the VP
of Construction, you will: Manage multiple projects, Project Management
staff, Field Operation staff, equipment, and safety management.
Coordinate projects with pre-construction planning, estimating, and
design teams. Participate in project meetings and bid reviews. Evaluate
and manage risk throughout the construction division. Implement timeline
and critical path scheduling for initial project start up. Work closely
with Project Managers and Pre-Construction team to review all majority
subcontractor and material bids. Participate in project constructability
reviews. Participate in the career development of supervisors and
managers. Provide training and development goals, performance
evaluations, and training for each team member. Work with Human
Resources to identify, attract, and retain new and top talent. Work with
leadership team to develop short and long-term strategic plans for the
organization around the growth and development of construction. Oversee
all aspects of revenue generation and identify ways to maximize
construction revenue. Oversee construction workload and assure proper
talent utilization. Work with the SVP COO/CFO to prepare budgets and
analyze financial reports. Develop and implement company policies and
