JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, The
Buyer/Planner is responsible for the timely planning and procurement of
materials, supplies, and services at the best price for the company
without sacrificing quality. This position will execute and expedite
purchase orders as needed. The Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning
and managing the supply of purchased and manufactured parts within the
assigned product groups. They also play an integral role in building and
developing the company's supplier relationships and creating effective
strategies that will promote our long-term partnerships. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Plan, execute, communicate, and update
Purchase Orders as needed/required. Work with suppliers to get updated
pricing, lead time, and other critical supply chain data information as
needed. Ensure all parties are provided such information. Including
updating system settings when needed. Manage and maintain supplier
relationships. Ensure supplier scorecards are updated regularly. Analyze
and report out supplier key performance indicators (Delivery, Quality,
Leadtime). Share results with suppliers and ensure open issues and
improvement actions are implemented. Travel to vendors as needed.
Identify and resolve short-term material shortages as required. Develop
and utilize various reports to manage open purchase orders
(move-in/move-out) as business demands require. Works closely with
Manufacturing Team to communicate component deliveries, statuses, and
inventory releases to support customer demand and/or inventory stocking
levels. Analyze, establish and/or maintain critical MRP data points
inside ERP system. Provide support to other corporate procurement needs
as required/needed. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
associate degree or equivalent in Operations, Inventory Control, Supply
Chain Management, or related discipline with 2 years of experience in
the field Excellent analytical skills Thorough understanding of supply
chain, integrated business planning and MRP/ERP system functionality
Strong problem-solving skills, a bias for action and results, and a
willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done. Excellent
interpersonal skills. Skilled at working effectively with cross
functional teams in a matrix organization. Capable of setting aggressive
goals, establish supporting plans and successfully execute plans to
achieve goals. Strong, professional English verbal & written
