Position SummaryReviews all pertinent documentation, including but not limited to: Physician documentation, nursing documentation, laboratory and radiology reports, treatment records, and other documentation within the electronic medical record. Select and sequence appropriate diagnostic and procedures codes utilizing ICD-9/ICD-10 CM and/or CPT-4 codes. Ability to charge and/or code the following: Ambulatory surgery coding and#8211; ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; Observation coding - ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; ER Coding - ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; Ancillary Coding - ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic coders; ER Charging and#8211; Charge appropriate procedures in the billing system. (CPT code driven); Observation Charging and#8211; Charge appropriate procedures in the billing system. (CPT code driven); Interventional Radiology Charging and#8211; Charge appropriate procedures in the billing system. (CPT code driven) Basic Qualifications: Education - High School Diploma or equivalent Experience - 2 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in Coding Licenses - Coding Specialist, Certified (CCS) Professional Coder, Certified (CPC) Outpatient Coder, Certified (COC) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
