In a developing capacity and under direct supervision, applies basic engineering principles, concepts, theories, and techniquesin support of business objectives and may provide fundamental engineering leadership and expertise. May conduct feasibilitystudies, determine manpower and cost estimates and develop engineering criteria. Performs primary analyses to developdesign options or recommendations for structures, systems, and components. May apply originality, ingenuity, and knowledge ofother disciplines in solving basic technical issues. Emphasis will be placed on team participation, ability to plan, and ability toachieve results on assigned projects.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAbility to take good notes, showing work and assumptions.Ability to use originality and ingenuity to apply solutions.Applies basic engineering skills to work assignments.Applies basic problem-solving skills and executes solutions to basic problems.Applies basic supply chain cost, value stream capabilities, and economic principles.Completes engineering tasks under the direction of leadership.Follows engineering and quality processes.Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.Seeks and receives mentoring from senior-level and engineering leadership.Seeks approval of budget owner using an appropriate request process.Works under direct supervision; work is reviewed after completion to evaluate the soundness of judgments involved.Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.QUALIFICATIONS
