General Summary:The Business Development Engineer is responsible for managing existing OEM sales/accounts and working with customers for sales growth opportunities of Parker Americas Products. Ability to establish and build relationships with customers, quoting new business opportunities, resolving commercial issues and communicating account issues to management are basic requirements of this position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtains and responds to RFQs from customers in a timely manner. Ability to follow the costing process internally to establish proper price quotes to the customer.

Works with Accounting Department as necessary to resolve past due A/R issues on any customer accounts within their responsibility.

Report out latest Sales Updates from customer accounts during monthly sales meetings.

Obtain payments from customers for any obsolescence or dead stock which the customer is responsible for.

Communicates with various levels of management, technical staff, customer support personnel and

representatives of affiliated companies to discuss customer requirements and coordinate response activities.

Coordinates sample request from customers and shares progress of customer activity prior to booking business.

Develops Sales Budget based on account responsibility to support the overall Sales Budget for Parker Americas Inc. each Fiscal Year.

Maintains awareness of competitor's activity and industry business trends.

Works closely with Manager to support promotion of products. Assists with product related

technical exhibitions and shows.

Works with Accounting to set-up new customer account commercial requirements (Credit Limit,

Payment Terms)

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, Engineering degree preferred; five or more years' experience in sales and marketing; technical products helpful; or a combination of education and experience. Experience in international business (trading) is helpful.

Experience with Microsoft 365

Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions.
