Pipe Welder

Atlantic Coast Staffing is looking for a Pipe Welder in Harrisonburg!

Daily Functions:

- Layout, fabricates, assemble, install and weld pipes, piping systems, equipment and industrial systems

-Recognize properties of various welding metals

- Assembles and installs a variety of metal pipes and pipe fittings

- Remove slag and rough spots with a portable grinder, file and scraper

- Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience with TIG and Stick pipe welding with various techniques including electric, gas, arc, or other equipment

- Must be able to pass required pipe welding test

- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem- solving skills

- Must be able to pass drug test

- Must be able to pick up 50 pounds

- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires

- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and climb, bend, pull, and reach over head

Willing to offer per diem of $100 per day for candidate who don't live within a certain radius
