Accounting Analyst

NOW HIRING an Accounting Analyst Location: Des Moines, IA (100% Onsite- parking included)Pay: $60,000- $80,000Description:Corporate Accounting Analyst openings at the downtown corporate office. These will report to the Controller and Director of Accounting. This position will support one of their plant locations and a specific entity. They will work with that location to ensure financials are correct, reconcile balance sheets, and process journal entries.Job Duties:

Month end close

Financial statements

General Ledger and reporting

Analyze current and past financial performance

Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement

Act as a resource reporting directly to the Controller

Timely present performance to the Director of Accounting & CFO

Ensuring accurate records & financial statements

Testing internal controls over processes

Maintaining divisional financial reporting and accounting

Intercompany reconciliations and eliminations

Could also include, but not limited to, the day-to-day transactions and reporting for company, and corporate-wide reporting

Skills & Qualifications:

Accounting Degree

3+ years of accounting, financial analysis, reporting, or staff accountant experience. Month end close and Financial reporting and statements is a must

1+ years of Public accounting experience would be a definite interview

If they are open to travel they could get exposure going to the different sites and would give them more opportunity for promotions.

Excel skills are a must. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
