Direct Support Professional

Sheltering Arms is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. DSPs provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live as independently and fulfilling lives as possible.

Responsibilities:

Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating

Assist with medication administration and other medical tasks

Help individuals to develop and achieve their personal goals

Provide transportation and other community integration services

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds

Compassionate and patient personality

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently but must be a team player.

Good listening skills and act as needed.

Must have patience to work with the residents with a diagnosis of intellectual disabilities.
