Job Description: Construction Scheduler / Claims Analyst

We are currently looking for a full-time professional to supplement our current staff. This is an entry level position suitable for a recent engineering graduate.

Education: A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Engineering or Construction is required.

Experience: Up to 5 years of related work experience in building construction, preferably working with P6 Scheduling software. This is an entry level position suitable for a recent engineering graduate.

Company Description: Capital Construction Consultants, Inc., a dynamic and growing consulting firm headquartered in Northern Virginia is seeking a prospective team member and professional capable of supporting Principals with planning, tracking, forensics analysis, and reporting of construction schedules or analyzing construction claims on projects of varying type, size, complexity, and level of risk.

Our firm includes as our distinguished clients most major nationwide construction firms as well as many national law firms and insurance companies.

Responsibilities (specific duties will change for each project): The position may require significant interaction with client Project Managers, Architects, Design Engineers, Senior Technical Personnel, Attorneys, and other client personnel. This is a dynamic growth opportunity for a qualified individual. This position may evolve into taking the lead with your own clients.

Detailed Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks - The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Principal in the Firm and be required to:

Read and understand Contract Drawings and Specifications.

Develop baseline project schedules, and maintain and report on job progress.

Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against the established baseline schedule.

Develop and/or update resources and actual performance.

Analyze progress and reasons for any shortfalls.

Develop monthly update reports with current progress indicators.

Assess the impact of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.

Develop Narrative Reports of Schedule Progress.

Analyze Construction claims.

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

The prospective team member may establish, maintain, and audit construction project schedules as necessary for comprehensive analysis and/or management. This is an entry to mid-level position that offers additional on-the-job training as needed with significant growth opportunities.
