Come work and play in the mountains. At Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park, our Food & Beverage team is critical to the success of the mountain and the satisfaction of our guests. With two restaurants and multiple bar locations, our fun, fast-paced team has a wide variety of positions available—from experienced cooks to entry-level kitchen help.

Hold current Washington State Food Handler’s Permit

Keep pantries, workstations, dish pit, utensils, and work environment clean, sanitary, and well organized.

Prepare all food items including baking, cooking, and presenting.

Scrape, rinse, wash, and sanitize dishes, trays, and cooking utensils.

Communicate with management, co-workers, and guests with respect.

Properly store and cover all food items and rotate for freshness according to health codes.

Ability to prepare and stock all food items

Regulate all products, including those prepared by fellow staff, to confirm satisfaction of all state and federal regulations

Direct staff and guests on processes and provide support

Make quick decisions in the best interest of guests and Mountain

Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. Refer to management as needed.

Communicate with management all issues and/or areas of interest.

Experience preferred

All positions within the department require the following abilities:

Organization: Ability to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for all guests entertained in the food and beverage department. Must be able to keep exits accessible and all items properly stocked. All workstations must be organized and clean.

Integrity: Always demonstrates responsible and honest behavior in all tasks and job duties.

Dependability: Arrives to workstation on time, in uniform, and ready to work when scheduled for each shift and after breaks, and meals. Must have reliable transportation

Mountain Ambassadors: Demonstrates understanding and respect for people of all backgrounds. Actively seeks out and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers; effectively handling interpersonal conflict.

Physical Demands: Walk and/or stand for up to 5 hours at a time. Lift and carry 50 pounds. Bend and stoop while serving guests. Move about facility and stand for long periods of time. Ability to withstand cold temperatures with guests entering and leaving building and opening doors frequently causing drafts. Ability to work in interior offices which may be musty and/or dusty. Ability to take care with office tools and equipment which can have sharp edges. Ability to move carefully through pathways and walkways in and out of buildings which may be icy and/or have high snowdrifts.
