THE POSITIONDo you like working in a fast-paced environment using a variety of leadership skills? The Department of Human Services, Division of Provider Operations, is looking for a motivated Human Service Program Specialist to review, manage, and approve enrollment applications related to nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities , home and community-based services waivers, and Living Independence for the Elderly providers. DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Human Services Program Specialist, you will assist with managing the facilities' workload, including technical and analytical work, to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. You will serve as the lead personnel for enrollment functions pertaining to nursing facilities, intermediate care facility for intellectual disabilities, home and community-based services, and Living Independence for the Elderly providers, and be responsible for monitoring nursing facilities to address federal and state sanctions. You will also prepare notes for signature pertaining to adverse actions and will use multiple systems to input and maintain provider information.This position will include reviewing and approving provider enrollment applications into Office of Long-Term Living waivers and programs. You will also be responsible for interpreting state and federal regulation that affect the enrollment process, and for responding to complex Medical Assistance procedure inquiries regarding enrollment. You must be able to function and make decisions independently.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Work schedule may change based on operational needs.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
