Hiring Security Technician

An ideal candidate would have a background in electronics specializing in the security field. Technicians are required to install, program, and troubleshoot various types of Intrusion Detection systems (IDS), Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems (Analog and IP POE based systems). Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Technicians must be able to perform corrective and preventative maintenance of the Intrusion Detections System (IDS), Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), & CCTV systems. The installation of the systems requires work planning and the scheduling of with other trades to complete tasks on time and within budget.

Provide own hand tools, all other installation tools will be provided.

Able to install and wire all devices per approved plans.

Capable of reading schematics, and wire devices for proper operation.

All devices are to be installed per the manufacturer's specifications.

Complete job documents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

3 Years experience with the installation and maintenance of IDS, PACS, and CCTV

Ability to secure and maintain a Secret Clearance - Current Secret Clearance is a plus

Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings

Ability to travel up to 40%

IDS and ACS systems

AMAG, Hirsch, Bosch, Lenel, Gallagher, Genetec, C-Cure-9000

CCTV systems

Bosch VMS, Avigilon, Pelco, Vicon, Milestone

Other Skills

Low Voltage experience

Working knowledge of RS232, RS485, RS422, and other protocols relating to the security field.

Previous Military experience (preferred but not required)

Conduit installation

Relay logic

Networking

Structured cable

OSHA 30 a plus
