Description Join the team at Robert Half with this Help Desk Analyst Opportunity! This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the New York, New York area. We're seeking someone with a can-do attitude who is looking to be part of a highly motivated team. This job's main duty is handling complex end-user support issues and providing support to team members by focusing on restoring service to the end users. We also need the chosen candidate for the Help Desk Analyst position to know how the role relates to IT projects and IT Service Management initiatives. One of the most important things to understand for this position is Incident, Problem, Change Management and other processes. How these processes work together to provide superior support and high availability of our business is also important. The ideal Service Desk Analyst can represent the Service Desk by liaising with 2nd and 3rd level teams to help transition new and changing services. Your duties might include creating knowledge articles and arranging training for other Service Desk Analysts when needed. You will be successful at this Analyst job if you can cover alternative shifts when needed. We're seeking a self-confident, motivated person with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills who enjoys a fast-paced, team-driven environment.Your responsibilities
Meet and exceed SLA standards: Close tickets in a timely manner, while upholding customer service standards
This job succeeds when it can facilitate user account management by handling onboarding, change and departure processes
Understand and utilize ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.) and how they are used in a corporate environment
Troubleshoot end user issues: Provide root-cause analysis on various web and mobile applications; handle escalated tickets relating to server/network related issues
Provide guidance to Tier 1 support and team members
Maintain hardware and peripherals: Responsible for upgrading and replacing computer parts; handle documentation and asset inventory
Understand concepts related to networks, servers, PCs, databases, proprietary systems, etc. Requirements - Able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
You'll be a good fit for this position if you have a combination of superior customer service skills and technical aptitude

Background in one or more programming or scripting language

Good understanding of Printing
Skills in Disability Claims
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Hands-on experience with video editing
Solid understanding of Medical Providers
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
Budget Processes experience
Expertise in Answering Inbound Calls
Previous experience working with Distribute Faxes
Well-founded grasp of Workstation Support
Experience with Service Providers
Materials Handling experience
Comprehension of medicaid
Earlier work involving Scanning Documents
Solid understanding of Social Security Administration
Practical knowledge of Websites
Knowledge of Video Recording
Quality experience with Claim Administration
General familiarity with social media
Wide ranging experience with procurement
Experience with Microsoft Word
Prior experience with scanner
3+ years' of experience supporting desktop/server operating systems and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, Exchange and VMware
