Job Title: Lead, Systems Engineer-Cost Engineering Job Code: 8552 Job Location: Remote Job Description: L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a technically experienced individual contributor to join our Cost Engineering and Analytics Department (CEAD). As a member of our growing team, you will support cost estimating activities aligned with SAS growth strategies in all business areas, on products that are designed for use across air, land, maritime, space and cyber domains. You will work collaboratively with other team members on a variety of tasks, such as:

Develop and use parametric methods to model product costs, analyze results and provide support to the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and Integrated Product Lifecycle (IPL) Execution Phases and Gates throughout the product/program lifecycle;

Define and roll out new processes for Cost Estimating, including: defining requirements and attributes of product lines, creating new Command Media or Standard Operating Procedures, and implementing changes in methodology to current practices;

Lead cross-functional meetings to: model and calibrate completed historical programs, create new models, provide Design to Cost, Price to Win, and ROMs model support; finalize models for bidding/Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); and support program Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables such as cost models and technical datasheets.

Substantiate results based on best practices and data driven conclusions.

Essential Functions:

Proposal cost volume preparation experience,

Strong Project/Capture Management skills

Concise communication (verbal and written) to executive stakeholders

Excellent critical thinking and decision making capabilities

Passion for organizing ambiguity, self-motivated, self-starter

Desire to train and mentor others

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or other related scientific discipline and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

MILSTD WBS Descriptions and product based modeling experience

Strengths in Electronic and SW Architectures,

Experience with TruePlanning SW

Blend of analytics and creativity in problem solving

Knowledge of Space and Airborne Systems products (programatics and techncial)

Ability to provide/accept constructive feedback to/from peers

Active/current Top Secret/SCI or SSBI security clearance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $106,500 - $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
