Facilities Maintenance/ Shop Clean Up

Cantech is looking for someone to join our exciting team and contribute to the reputation of having one of the cleanest shops in CNY.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Maintain cleanliness of shop, showroom and grounds.

Stock/Maintain consumable materials and supplies.

Sweep, mop and polish floors accordingly, including technician bays.

Clean and wipe down Technician lifts.

Disinfect commonly used items like desks, counters, door handles, and office tools.

Remove and dispose trash from all areas (showroom, shop, offices, bathroom, breakroom… ect)

Clean, sanitize and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sink, floors and restocking toilet paper and paper towels as needed.

As time permits wash walls, windows, and woodwork.

Remove debris and snow from sidewalks in winter, salt entrances for customer safety.

Daily cleanliness of shop will require operation of an industrial sweeper/scubber to keep the shop floors free of dust, grease, dirt etc

Ability to stay self-motivated without direction.

Maintain customer tire storage, keeping it organized and making sure the correct tires and hardware get pulled into the shop prior to the appointment for installation.

Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds

Maintain Grounds

Maintain facility to be in good working order

Maintain shop equipment

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Works well independently and has strong time management skills

Follows written and verbal instructions from fellow coworkers and owner.

Self motivated and ability to work independently.

Handles the physical demand of the job including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing and lifting at least 50 pounds.
