IN HOME CARETAKER

If you currently work for an agency or company that provides in-home care I am seeking someone with that expertise that wants to make better pay than they are currently making.

I need someone willing to work up to 40 hours per week with the hours and schedule to be determined. I need someone who lives in Knoxville and has transportation. The caretaker will be for a woman with Alzheimer's.

My options are simple. I can choose to use a company that provides caretakers and pay them about $30 per hour while the caretaker gets half or less than that. Or I can put my wife in assisted living. Or I can hire someone as a permanent employee, pay a decent wage and have a person that might be able to provide around the clock caretaking if or when I have to travel or get surgery or am otherwise unable to be home.

We are not expecting a caretaker to be a cook, housecleaner, errand runner, or driver. Unless the caretaker wishes to do those things perhaps as part of assisting someone with Alzheimer's in staying active and involved.
