The position is primarily an independent consultative, and technical position, providing coordination of activities related to health care and medical workforce initiatives. The candidate will work in concert with the section manager and other staff to administrate various councils, committees and working groups, by providing staffing and programmatic coordination for both ad hoc and standing interagency committees including the Physicians Workforce Advisory Council, Rare Disease Advisory Council, Drug Policy Advisory Council and others. The candidate will be required to conduct research, compile information, and prepare reports required in completing special assignments, formulating management decisions, and compiling and analyzing data related to administrative, regulatory, and planning issues related to areas of responsibility. Ability to plan, analyze prioritize and manage a high volume of multiple assignments and tasks in a timely manner.

Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

Ability to conduct fact-finding research.

Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other agencies, and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Qualifications:

Minimum –

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Experience (1+ years) in coordinating boards, councils, or committees

Familiarity with drafting reports, policy documents, and conducting basic data analysis.

Preferred –

Two years of College + Two (2) years of related work experience ­ OR four (4) years of related work experience in public health, health care, public administration, or similar experience.

Bachelor's degree, or higher in a relevant field such as Public Health, Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, or a related area.

At least 2-3 years of experience in a role involving coordination of councils, committees, or task forces.

Demonstrated experience in report writing, research, and data analysis.

Working knowledge of the state’s educational and/or workforce development systems, is recommended.

Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Advanced data analysis skills using tools like Excel, Tableau, or statistical software.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and government reporting requirements.
