The Family-Owned Upper-Cape H&R Block Franchise office in Falmouth seeks to hire an experienced and driven tax professional for seasonal and recurring full-time employment in the Teaticket, Falmouth office. Additional availability may be available in the other Upper-Cape offices. Being a Tax Pro at H&R Block is both challenging and rewarding work on many levels. The ideal candidate is someone who is client-centric, with a strong work ethic, possesses extensive tax preparation experience, and desires to work a full-time schedule during tax season. While the need is greatest in Falmouth, a position in the Sandwich or Mashpee offices may also be available. Inquire within today!

Day to day, you’ll…

Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients

Prepare complete and accurate in-person as well as drop-off tax returns

Offer additional products and services

Mentor and support teammates

What you’ll bring to the team…

Experience completing individual tax returns

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (not required)

Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing

Ability to meet IRS requirements and completion of continuing education courses (CE)

Note: Preference is to hire an individual with 3 or more years of tax preparation experience with a certain number of returns prepared. Initial hourly rate to be agreed upon, based on experience and expected commitment. Compensation is a range - from a less experienced tax preparer - to an extremely knowledgeable and seasoned tax professional with a heavy workload. Including potential bonus compensation.
